Meet the Artist
Hello! My name is Shelby and I am the artist behind sunglow ceramics. I am 26 years old and I was raised in Buford, GA. I am now based out of my home studio in Athens, GA. I have always had a love for all things creative and I am truly grateful that I have the opportunity to make and sell pottery for a living. Thank you for supporting me!
Background
I’ve had a relationship with ceramics from a very young age. I was fortunate enough to attend private art classes, clay workshops and other similar activities throughout my childhood and early education. My first formal introduction to ceramics, however, did not occur until high school, where I took 4 years of ceramics, including AP sculpture. I received a few awards and honorable mentions during these 4 years, and even though the pieces are very different compared to what I do now, I am still very proud of my accomplishments.
